Never a dull moment when you jump off a boat into shark infested waters! Diving North Rock Gutters, at Broughton Island, with grey nurse sharks was definitely an experience I won’t quickly forget, and highly recommend.

The family and I headed to Lake Macquarie for a few days of adventure and fishing. We did some 4x4ing on the very soft Blacksmiths Beach, explored the caves at Caves Beach, played with the kids at Speer Point Park, and fished Lake Macquarie from the kayak.

We took the kids to the Big Banana Fun Park to enjoy a few of their rides. The toboggan was by far their favourite. Even our little one gave it go! The 650m track was pure bliss.
